UpicT : NZ ShareMarket Pictures

disclaimer -- what UpicT emphatically is not

If you find the descriptions throughout this site dense and inadequate, you are forgiven. We have reluctantly acquiesced to provide any description whatever just because the pictorial-knowledge which UpicT presents was never considered to be suitable for translation into word-knowledge. We dont believe it does translate and, if you like, UpicT was developed just because it doesn't adequately translate.

UpicT is a knowledge-based tool. It directly empowers the user through having converted huge inane flows of analogue data into meaningfully pictorialised relational information.

UpicT has nothing at all in common with crazy or cranky stock-picking schemes. You may have stumbled across ..(or even for a short time been wryly intrigued by).. amusements like that, which usually rely on so-called 'technical-analysis' viz-a-viz mindless patterns amongst a multiplicity of chart squiggles etc. Everyone to their own, of course, but it must be emphasised that that sort of stuff has no relationship with UpicT pictures.

UpicT is used to get a speedy and comprehensive picture of a stock's performance record over time in terms of the fundamental returns it has produced. Fundamental facts are extracted, summarised and represented pictorially. There are no predictive, soothsaying or crystal ball features in UpicT.

UpicT does not pretend to have any inbuilt 'winner-picking' capabilities whatsoever. It is not a stock-picking system of any kind. It is not a pattern detector. But there is nothing, unfortunately, to prevent such wizardry, where it already exists, being facilitated by UpicT.
