Pictures of NZSX Returns (UpicT)

What those numbers printed out in UpicT pictures are all about.

paRETURN-RATE-%:

Annualised average growth rate as a percentage, derived from the "growth" mapping. This compares well with the nominal (annualised) rates for investing and mortgaging in the wider finance markets. Again, FAQ Q-4 provides more detail of the constitutive elements and rationale in this number.

Opening-PE-Ratio and Closing-PE-Ratio:

These are the Price/Earnings numbers that applied on the opening and closing dates, which add a level of explanation to certain mappings, especially when there is a large gap between the two numbers. Additionally, the earnings at each of the dates can be simply calculated by multiplying by the appropriate price, and the results then compared for growth or shrinkage. For an example see FAQ Q-7.
